About Me
Use your energy to believe, create, trust and grow.
Hi I'm Jodie, and what a privilege it is for me to have you here!
I have been sewing all my life and started quilting over 15 years ago. With the trials and tribulations of life, I have tucked it away at times and sometimes for longer than expected. But the thing is, life has its way of steering me right back to my sewing machine when I need it most. Its where I find my peace, my people and my drive. I also have a ridiculous but healthy obsession with fabric!
I love to quilt, but I am not a loyal quilter and I say that in the most creative way possible. I tend to drift between quilts, garments, bags and anything that catches my attention and looks like fun to make. I feel all creatives should just go where their desire takes them and change lanes whenever they want. You don't even need to indicate, just swerve over and enjoy the ride! That's my approach to staying inspired to create and always learn.
I have been quilting with a Bernina Qmatic for a while now and also completed training with a Bernina Qmatic specialist educator, to perfect my skills and ability to quilt with a digitised longarm. The possibilities are endless in what can be achieved and created with digital quilting and I am so passionate about sharing this with you.
I am really excited about the addition of my Bernina Q24 Qmatic to my sewing studio. Her name is Patsy and she is Eddie's (Bernina 570) partner in crime. Then I have Saffy, my Juki industrial straight stitch that is my hard working, straight A obedient member of the team. Last but not least is Bubbles the overlocker, which looks pretty but doesn't do a lot of work. (If you love Ab Fab, this will all make perfect sense). We are all working hard together in my little bayside studio to deliver exceptional customer quilts and products that I am so proud of and love to do.
